Not only clothing trends you should know to stay in fashion but color trends, too. So, I took my time to prepare a list of colors that make up Color Trends for Fall/ Winter 2010/ 2011. Read and remember these to be ready for your next shopping trip.

Black. Considering the fact we are getting ready for colder seasons it is quite clear why designers paid more attention to darker colors. And it’s not surpising at all that black was the most popular. It’s classic, slimming and always looks elegant.

| White. Too much of dark isn’t good. So, white, as a great contrast to black, was nearly everywhere. Why not? It’s cute, feminine and gives a fantastic opportunity to make the world lighter and more exhilarating. Go for this color trend and have a better mood for Fall/ Winter 2010/ 2011!

Now curvy women like Crystal Renn, Beyonce and Lara Stone are fighting for the right to be named fashion icons. And they do have success because womanly curves are so attractive. Christina Hendricks isn’t from vogue industry but just like any real woman she loves beautiful clothes. This explains why she stars in Fall 2010 Ad Campaign of London Fog.

London Fog is the world-known U.S. rainwear label that has been producing waterproof garments for over 87 years. To promote their Fall 2010 collection they invited Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks who seems to be the embodiment of beauty and femininity. The choice of the model for the campaign can be explained by the fact the brand has embraced the retro image this seaon. And who can do retro better than Christina Hendricks?

Christina Hendricks follows in the footsteps of Gisele Bundchen who was the face of London Fog last year but she definitely pictured a different image.

Brightest Dresses of 2010

Women use different ways to attract attention. One acts provocatively, another tries to outshine her rivals by smart sayings and there are ladies who choose the easier but no less effective method – they dress in bright colors. I have made up a list of celebrity women who have worn the brightest dresses in 2010, not in everyday life of course, but on the red carpet.
My list has just 7 positions but they definitely deserve to be mentioned here. So, let’s start.

#1. Angelina Jolie and her blood red Valentino gown. The 35-year-old star wore this designer creation to the premiere of her latest movie Salt in Moscow. The actress looked fabulous and no wonder all the attention was hers!

| #2. Scarlett Johansson and her super chic Dolce & Gabbana dress. The strapless piece looked perfect on the curvy Iron Man 2 actress. Lace trimming added femininity to the look while the tiny black belt complemented to the elegantce of the dress. |

2010 Teen Choice Awards – Top 3 Dresses

2010 Teen Choice Awards is a big and highly anticipated event. This year it took place on August 8 (Sunday) and was held at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. Plenty of celebrities attended the ceremony and some looked happy as they were praised and received prizes.
The lucky ladies at 2010 Teen Choice Awards were Kristen Stewart, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Ashley Greene, Sandra Bullock, Taylor Swift, Zoe Saldana, etc. Unfortunately, Kristen, Taylor and Zoe didn’t appear, otherwise my list of top dresses would be bigger.
However, there were 3 outfits that I liked a lot. Here they are for you to judge:

1. White pretty mini that Selena Gomez wore to 2010 Teen Choice Awards. The frock was simple in design but looked fabulous. The split sleeves were the focus of attention. To match the dress Selena Gomez opted for a pair of nude sandals that wraped her ankles beautifully.

| 2. Stripy chic on Katy Perry. This girl will look perfect in everything. So, this rather ordinary dress looked great on her. Strapless figure-hugging knee-length dress was complemented by a pair of blue Louboutins. |

Miu Miu Resort 2011 Collection

Normally I don’t like Miu Miu prints much but those in 2011 Resort collection look pretty and I even think I would dare to put some on. The range is full of polka dots, apples, strawberries and hearts that make the garments they adorn look girlie and playful.

Not every piece in Miu Miu 2010 Resort range is richly printed. There are stylish monotone items: classy trouser and skirt suits, jackets, dresses, jumpsuits and blouses. These can be worn not only for walks with friends but to serious places like office or bank.

|
Accessories in Miu Miu 2010 Resort are fabulous. I like bags very much. They look chic and fresh in design. Shoes are absolutely gorgeous. Platforms in red and bright green and blue colors look funky and fresh. As for polka dot sandals, they are simply adorable!

2010 MTV Movie Awards – Worst-Dressed

As I have told you I made two lists on fashion arrivals at 2010 MTV Movie Awards. One includes Best-Dressed stars at the event and you might have read it already. Another one comprises only 5 celebrities but they were the Worst-Dressed, in my opinion.
#1 Nikki Reed. Wearing designer clothing doesn’t always make one a super-star on the red carpet. Nikki Reed must have been unaware of this. And beautiful Miu Miu dress didn’t help much.

#2 Lindsay Lohan. This girl has got accustomed of being named the worst-dressed. But maybe this time she tried very hard but failed again. Her Pamella Roland jumpsuit had a plunging neckline which revealed the fact her breast had no support it needed badly.

|
| #3 Audrina Patridge. Her sparkling silver dress didn’t impress me. It looked baggy and didn’t fit. Besides, the sandals were awful. |

2010 MTV Movie Awards – Best-Dressed

One of the funniest glam events of the year – 2010 MTV Movie Awards – were held on Sunday (June 6) at Universal Studios’ Gibson Amphitheatre, Los Angeles.
This evening was notable for a lot of things, but for me just two of those were really interesting. First are the on-stage kisses (Kristen Stewart+Robert Pattinson, Scarlett Johansson+Sandra Bullock) and second are fashion arrivals.
All about winners and kisses you can read on other posts, but fashion histeria is right here! I made a list of 8 outfits I liked the most and 5 ones I liked the least. You can agree or disagree with me.

Well, my top pick is Christina Aguilera and her stunning fairytale black gown by Versace Atelier. The singer looked fantastic in it. Stephen Webster’s jewels added chic to the attire.

| Next goes elegant and always feminine Scarlett Johansson with her Dolce&Gabbana green strapless dress and a black belt that was matched by a perfect pair of black pumps. |

We all want to look fashionable but this is impossible without knowing modern tendencies in the fashion world. Some of the Spring/ Summer 2010 trends will be out and some will still be hot. And a few absolutely new trends will shatter the glamorous world soon.

Sexy turtlenecks. Although the turtleneck seems to be one of the clothing items that simply cannot be sexy we say that sexy turtleneck is a hot trend for Autumn/ Winter 2010/ 2011 season. Everything depends on how you wear it. Try to mix colors and add some funky accessories to your look and the turtleneck will change from the very dull to a stylish piece.

| High collars. These aren’t only fashionable, they are very practical as well. In addition to making you look modern high collar will keep you warm from cold winter winds. |
